"It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living."

Running around the woods and through the freshly fallen leaves, seemed the perfect place for S to wear her new flower headpiece. So, as planned, I took her back to the nature park reserve. I was hoping in a weeks time, the leaves would have changed more. A few have, but not as many as I had hoped. We may have one more go at it. There is an area at the park that you are able to access the water. I haven't been to that spot, so there may be one more adventure this season for us at the park (if not more.) This time around, much to our delight, we discovered a magical path through the woods. S was a trooper, as we weren't really sure where the path would lead us. We found many treasures along the way... always a simple joy for us.

Snack time, along the path in the woods, ended up being the perfect time for me to snap the first two photos above. They are candid shots, as I didn't plan a photo shoot, but I cherish them none the less.

  1. Hello again;
    Thank you for the beautiful words you left for me, made me blush.

    I rarely have the time to look for new blogs, but every now and then I happen upon one I like. One which is full of more than 'nothing'. I find it hard to believe that you don't have more visitors. What you do here is so beautiful; the photographs vivid and with a rare presence in them. Your love for S moves me.
    I am very glad to have 'found you'.

    I just got caught up in a debate about hunting at my place, I usually don't have the time to write that much text. Soon 4 am here, better run to bed.

  2. Thank you Lilli. Your words mean so much to me. I take pictures for my own enjoyment, so it's so nice to hear something positive about them on occasion.

    I do love my daughter with all of my might. She is my sunshine, my light.

    xo
