"It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living."

Why wait? Create.

So this is what I've been up to at night for the past week instead of blogging. I haven't been taking many pictures because frankly, the inspiration just isn't there for me in the dead of winter. I am thrilled to have rediscovered Photoshop for my artwork though! I hope that you don't mind this slight change of pace around here. I look forward to getting back to nature walks with Sunny and being outside more with my camera in hand, but for now, this is where it's at for me.

I have a new passion for taking photos of S and turning them into artwork. The quote in the top piece I found on a product in a magazine. I tried to research the quote and discovered it is by a poet and artist by the name of Fréya Eté. I'm not sure of the copyright laws, so I'm a little nervous to even post the piece here. I figured that because I'm using it for my own personal use (I really like that quote!) and have no intention of selling it, that it would be alright to post. Does anyone know if I am incorrect to think this way? Please let me know if I am!

The second piece was a request from a dear friend. The quote reminds her that we have to stand up for things, stand up for something, that the world isn't just happening to us and we have the power to affect change in our world.

The last drawing I did just for fun to update my facebook cover photo.

I wish that I had more to write but it is past midnight and I have a bubble bath waiting for me!

  2. Love your creations, and I love that quote too. I am sure that it is fine and quite legal that you have shared here. I am sure Freya Ete would be thrilled.
You could, of course, easily sell your creations, as they are beautiful works of art.xxx
