Here and There.

We had a special day out today with Daddy, Sunny's best friend (She told her yesterday, "You're my favorite little friend in the whole wide world!" Then she looked at me and whispered, "I won't tell anyone else that I told her that, I don't want them to feel bad.") her little sis, and their mama who just happens to be a dear friend of mine. We headed to the Children's Museum, and boy did we have some fun!

I have many photos from our adventure today, these are just a few of the highlights.
The mural was insanely awesome and I'm itching to make something similar. I have an old door that I took off the hinges when we first moved into our home a few years ago. I'm thinking if I flip it sideways, it might be the perfect size (much smaller than what you see here) to play around with. Wouldn't that be fun?

*The top photo was taken from inside the parking ramp, through a window, and across the city!

*The last picture I had forgotten all about. It was taken on Valentine's day.

Despite my best efforts to really embrace it this year, the winter has been dragging on. I just haven't felt that spark to post lately. Spring begins four weeks from today, and we are finally daring to daydream about all of the promises that it holds. Sunny told me at bedtime that she left the museum today with a head full of ideas. There was talk of secret hiding places in the woods, and an elaborate redo of her outdoor playhouse which included, but not limited to, a pet hospital! I have to admit that I left there today with more than a few ideas myself!

Until then... I should have posted these photos a week ago, but as it goes they sat in a folder on my desktop until now. Sunny has decided that this winter business is simply not for her. She did enjoy this walk of ours however...and was rather proud of herself for making it up that big hill!

  1. What a sweet day at the children's museum, I really love the mural, very playful.
My trick to enjoying winter is to find something everyday that I consider beautiful or cozy. This winter I have been taking my dog for walks in the woods everyday, watching for the changes in the snow.
Your photos are great, thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi ShannonAnn! We have two cats, but unfortunately no dogs. Often, Sunny's favorite part of our walks are all the dogs that she gets to meet and greet. What a wonderful way to get outdoors, and into the woods!
