We have been reading Night Tree by Eve Bunting
at bedtime and it's from that book that we got the idea to go decorate a
tree for the birdies and animals. Our plan was to find a small
pine tree but that turned out a bit difficult so we went with this one. It's just oranges and apples with some peanuts (in
their shells) sprinkled on the ground for the squirrels. I would have
liked to have strung some popcorn and cranberries also, but just didn't have the time to today. We may have to find a little pine tree yet!
