At 4pm S declared the day still young.
She than told me this list of things that she would really like to do before she goes to bed...
go for a nature walk, make a fairy garden, roast marshmallows, and look at the moon.
We managed 3 out 4 (plus papa made dinner on the grill.)
Someone was way too tired to stay up to look at the moon!
I think our fairies look pretty happy in their garden though, don't you?
I will save our pictures from our nature walk until tomorrow.
Until than, we are blowing fist fulls of magical pixie dust your way,
may they find you with a smile on your face and a lightness in your heart.

This is absolutely wonderful - I do think we have to borrow your idea. Too bad it rains all the time, but that just makes it more real, I suppose.

DeleteMight I suggest that you make a fairy house in a wooden crate or planter. That way you can bring it inside on rainy days to be played with also. It hasn't rained here yet, so I'm not sure how ours will hold up. It was on a whim that we put it all together. I do know that there really is no end to the fun and creativity that you can put into your own fairy garden. Let your imaginations go wild! It's such a magical thing to teach our little ones about the fairies. :)
In the past we also have made flower gardens (there was a post about it)for inside play. We filled a wooden crate with beans, small flower pots, mason jars and paper flowers. S has fun not only planting the flowers, but also hiding small treasures in the beans to find later. I bet E would grow a beautiful garden.
