We met friends at the park yesterday and the girls played near the flowers.
Does anyone know what kind of flower bushes these are?
Our neighbors have some also, and I have to tell you, as cute as the girls are playing with them...
they sure do stink! It wasn't so bad at the park with all that open space, it's more of a smell (like dirty diapers) that finds it's way through open windows, lingering in your home. It always takes me a day or two in the spring to figure out what that smell is, and where it's coming from. I'm always a bit relieved when I figure it out though.

Okay, moving right along.

S kindly served me tea while I peaked at the new issue of Kinfolk magazine. I can't get enough of it, it's such a lovely publication. I think these photos of S setting the table for a celebration of sorts (I apparently married the owl)
fits right in with the idea behind Kinfolk.

It's almost the weekend and I'm beginning to hear the small whispers of nature calling my name.
Perhaps there will be a walk in the woods in our near future.

oh, and that crazy/wild hair of Sunny's is unfortunately passed down to her from yours truly.
Poor kid!

    You are wild things...

Hmmm...I think I would take an Owl today. If he were wise and kind. Well read. And sported a grey and "fleckled" Herkimer diamond...Imagine wings around you at night as you slept! This keeps getting better! ;)

    xo to you both...

    1. Oh, AnDee! That hair of hers, one day it is tame and the next this! I will take it though, with the summer humidity her curls are a treasure. :)

You have placed a magical image in my mind...I can see a children's book (with a bit of adult theme emerging between the lines, hmmm. ;)coming to life out of the words that you have strung together. I have always wanted to write/illustrate one. Heavy on illustrating, light on the writing.

      No captchas here!

      xo
