"It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living."

S has had an imaginary dragonfly friend following her around everywhere since last Saturday,
so I thought it might be fun for her to see him fluttering around in some pictures with her.

That top photo is S enjoying her first after dinner ice-cream cone of the season, barefoot and outdoors.

Sunny tells me all the time how she doesn't want to ever grow up, that she wants to stay 3 forever.
but...
tonight she told me that when she DOES grow up she wants be (drum roll) an artist.
I asked her what she thinks an artist does, her response was:
"well, they take a board (easel) and a piece of paper, and paint...they dip a brush in the paint and paint the most beautiful picture. They paint a river, and rocks, and flowers blooming."
yes, indeed. an artist. It sort of blows me away that she can visualize that and
describe it to me so accurately.
