The walks you show us are always very beautiful. But this one, with frozen waterfall is beyond everything! I only can imagine the magical feeling of going behind all these curtains of ice... Very special place (did you meet an Ice Queen there?)
Do to the light hitting the ice, the ice from behind the waterfall appears the most incredible shade of blue. The pictures don't begin to do it justice. It's really a sight to behold!
I suppose going by the pictures, it does appear a bit scary. (I didn't have time to write a post when I put the photos up.) What the photos don't show you is that it is actually a very popular attraction around here. We were surrounded by a good 75-100 people, or more. I tend to not care for the shots that have strangers in them, so I sort through them until I find a few of just us. I'm also a very cautious person by nature, who happens to be deathly afraid of heights. We were in very capable hands with my husband leading the way... we would have remained on solid ground had it just been S and myself. I have to wonder what the fun in that would have been though.
Sometimes that extra step, or two, are so worth it. :)
