She said, "This is the "Prickly Forest" and insisted that I go through it with her. She said, "Don't worry mom, it will be okay, I will hold your hand. I am BRAVE. I won't let anything happen to you."
and...
after two late nights in a row, and spending time feeding the ducks by the water this evening, S was so So tired when I put her to bed. She wrapped her arms around me, gave me a big hug and said "Mama, it's so good to have you." I said, "It's so good to have you too baby." {pause} S: "Mama? It's so very good to have you...as a family."

It was in the low 50's here today. They say it is going to snow tomorrow or the next day.
I have never experienced this before, this brown winter.

What a wise little girl you have. :) Walking around in nature is always a great sleep inducer for my three.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a strange winter, so far, hasn't it?
Wonderful story you are sharing here, along with the beautiful pictures. The little toy she's caring around is so sweet :) I have a boy who loves his special bear in a similar way... And the children, sometimes they are so much wiser than we think.
ReplyDeletewhat a majestic place!
