"It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living."

I started working on this quilt this past spring, thinking it would be a nice covering for our bed come summer. Summer came and went and the quilt still wasn't done. Come autumn it became obvious that Sunny would need a new bed, sooner rather than later. (This girl is growing fast!)
Thanks to my dear friend Jessica over at Ensoul Arts, there was a move and a new bed for S.
This week we were finally able to order a mattress and I rushed to finish the quilt up. With the left over scraps we made a sweet little flag banner to hang over her bed. S loves her new bed most of all, but I like to think she likes the mama made quilt almost as much.

Also, I will share this little drawing of mine.
You may recognize this feather from my last post. It's been a long time since I have really drawn anything, but it is nice every once in while to get out the pens and paper late at night and give it a whirl.
If I were to do it again, I would try my hand at watercolors.

I wish all of you a blessed holiday tomorrow. I am truly thankful for those of you who take the time to visit this space of mine and to listen to what I have to say, and to see the beauty that I see.
I hope that you have found much to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
